This past week I was fortunate enough to travel to UMASS Lowell and attend a conference on the NAO robot. This is a very expensive robot, but the applications for it in the classroom are endless. My goal is to now figure out how to bring one to our school to help our students enter the future of education. Check out the video below to check him out!

Reading is one of life's simple pleasures. It is a way to teleport yourself into another world, and a way to escape. Reading and math go hand in hand and I found some great books, that will hopefully get your kiddos excited about math and reading. The slideshow below highlights some of them. I also included a way to get to amazon to check them out and possibly buy them. Keep on reading, and enjoying math! Give them a try you might be surprised how fun they are!Math can be fun???? No way right? Trying to convince a kid of that can be near impossible. I remember being in class thinking, "well I will never need to use this" and promptly forgetting the material. As I have grown a bit and matured a bit, I have noticed that math IS fun, and it is everywhere. I hope to show my students how fun it can be. I want them to see that they need math to: Build robots Create video games Play sports Play Pokemon Like I said it is everywhere! Check out the video below for irrefutable proof. |
